Slowly, but surely

My battle with Laryngitis and Bronchitis is finally over. I took the last of the Penicillin on Monday. Thank God! The Penicillin always left a burnt tire after taste in my mouth but hey, it healed my lungs. This battle started on September 26th and ended on October 8th – 13 days. Ouch.

The weather calls for rain on Saturday. Bummer. No clouds in sight yet but we all know that weather can change at any time. Pismo was nice but windy and cold. I missed my 10 mile training so now we’re at 12. Wow. The miles are slowly but surely going up. I had to buy a rain jacket today and while I was buying my rain jacket I decided to also shop for bath coordinates. I bought my toothbrush holder, trash can, and soap pump. I’m thinking about a black and white bathroom. That should be interesting and I’ll most likely have over a two week period to move. All my major appliances – fridge, washer/dryer, bed, and recliner are being delivered on the 20th but my move in date is this Sunday. I can’t be in the apartment without my major appliances. So I’ll setup my bathroom, my kitchen, and other things during this coming week until everything arrives and I can actually live there. I still have to buy the futon that I want to put in my living room. *sigh* At least, I have already bought everything else and I’m still within budget.

This has been a good week for donations. I am now at $1,506 – $594 away from my goal (21%)!! I want to thank the following people for helping me get towards my goal: My sister Raj (for donations from my adopted uncle and for convincing Robby to donate), Amar Sohal (and his co-workers – Fran Mahon and Robin Burrow), Rita Sohal (and the donation from her dad), Matt Temple, and Jessie Dhesi.

October 20th equals recommitment. I get to decide whether or not I’m still crazy enough to complete this marathon. I think I’ll make it. Look at all the support I have? I can’t let everyone down. So that means I have to fill out my paperwork and join everyone else at the recommitment party granted my stuff gets delivered on time and I’m not stuck in my apartment waiting for everything to slowly filter in. *crossing fingers* That was the best date I could get – certain sacrifices must be made I guess. *sigh*

Moving and waiting on appliances is so stressful. I sympathize. I spent long, empty days at the condo waiting for my stuff to show up. It’s soooo frustrating, but wonderful to be in your own space!Congrats on the recent donations!
