Blogging Goals for 2011

Writing is my zen. It’s therapeutic. Kinda like Fruit Ninja on the iPhone. I’ve been looking back at my archives for 2010 and I realized my blog sort of suffered. I posted when it felt convenient but this year I’d like to be on schedule, have a game plan, and blog consistently here and on my new blog:

While some might think that keeping your goals secret is best, I’m of the mindset that if I publicize them I’ll hold myself accountable so I’m seeking inspiration from The Daily Post and whatever inspires me throughout the year.

I’m looking forward to this challenge and seeing where it takes me.

I saw a TED talk a while back that stated that if you share your goals they’re less likely to come true because you’ve already put them out there, so your subconscious mind stops moving toward that goal because it thinks it is already complete. After a lot of thought on this subject I have to disagree, I think that the more people we tell, the more accountable we become to those people (and most importantly ourselves) to reaching that goal. I guess the difference is whether we are people who do what we say we’re going to do.

On my food blog but not here. I just recently redesigned this site and I’ll be turning it more into a personal blog. :)
