1.) I’m terrified of being cold but I love the fall and winter seasons. I like to see the leaves change color, the smell of fireplaces, various baked goods, wearing warm fuzzy sweaters, xmas decorations, and how you’ll always catch a smile on someone’s face because it’s the holidays.

4.) I collect shot glasses and keychains from every place and request that my friends bring back a memento from places they visit too.

7.) In 1995, the Fresno Bee was having a writing contest for $100 cash and I decided to enter. 8.) Growing up, I always wanted to be a doctor or a writer but doctor always won. In 1999, a counselor encouraged me to write a business plan because of my writing skills and because of a career test I took. However writing a business plan and writing a column about teen struggles are two different things but I won 1st place for my business plan (getting Computer Science majors to build computers for college credit for low income households – not highly creative but that was the current need/demand) and this prompted me to change my major to Business and Retail Marketing.

13.) My birthday is on December 30th but starting December 1st until my birthday, I do something special for myself to celebrate 30 days of me. Some people think I’m conceited for doing that but I think there’s nothing wrong in celebrating the fact that you’re alive.
14.) I believe in retail therapy and I’m a shopaholic. I think I get it from my Dad.

20.) In July 2007, I got up off the couch and decided to do something different with my life. I didn’t know what that was until I went to go check my mail and found a flier for Team in Training. I felt as though someone had slapped me in the face. At first, TNT was a way for me to get in shape and meet new people however it quickly became more than that. TNT raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and I have met many people affected by blood cancer and realized that my small worries were nothing compared to theirs.
